For property owners, this means that the IBI tax, among others, is managed and collected by the Patronato. Contrary to common belief, the Patronato de Recaudación does not automatically send out IBI receipts. However, property owners can easily download their IBI receipts using the information on their bank receipts. Specifically, you'll need the ID of the property and the last three numbers of the bank account used for payment.

The Steps to Download Your IBI Receipt:

1. Locate Your Bank Receipt: Retrieve the bank receipt for your recent IBI tax payment.

2. Identify Property ID: Find the ID of your property on the bank receipt. This is often a unique alphanumeric code associated with your property.

3. Note Your Bank Account Numbers: Take note of the last three numbers of the bank account used for the payment.

4. Visit the Official Portal: Go to the official website of the Patronato de Recaudación.

5. Access the Download Section: Look for the section related to IBI receipts or property information, there will be an icon that says ‘IBI’ on the page. 



6. Go to the Virtual Office: Click on the highlighted section entitled ‘Virtual Office’.

7. Choose How to Access the Service: Choose from electronic identification (your ‘Cl@ve’ pin), receipt data or reference. In this step you need to look for the "Mat/reference" and enter this data in the corresponding field with your NIF and the Municipality in which your property is located.

8. Enter Required Details: Input the property ID and the last three numbers of your bank account.

9. Download Your IBI Receipt: Once verified, you should be able to download your IBI receipt containing crucial details for non-resident tax filing.
